VinaCapital Ventures invests in logistics software startup An Vui

VinaCapital Ventures, a USD 100 million Vietnam-focused venture capital platform, has invested in homegrown logistics software startup An Vui for an undisclosed amount, the company said in a press release today.

Founded in 2016, An Vui offers end-to-end software solutions for Vietnamese intracity bus operators to manage their businesses more efficiently. These solutions include backend management tools for ticket sales, parcel shipments, and fuel usage. An Vui claims its products can trim operating costs by 10–20% for local bus operators and elevate revenues by 20–30%.

At the moment, about 1,000 bus operators utilize An Vui’s services and products. Founder Pham Ba Manh said in a press statement that funding from VinaCapital Ventures will enable the startup to acquire more strategic partnerships and boost business growth, serving Vietnam’s “fragmented” bus and limousine sector and its estimated 21,000 operators.

Khanh Tran, a partner at VinaCapital Ventures, said An Vui’s solutions have proven to benefit Vietnamese bus operators, whose businesses are often small and family-owned.

Road passenger transport in Vietnam generally accounts for more than 90% of transportation nationwide. It is plagued by a wide range of problems, from overcrowding and poor management to poorly constructed roads and a high rate of accidents.
