Grab partners with Ninja Van to expand its logistics service offerings

Grab has formed a strategic partnership with logistics company Ninja Van to bolster its logistics network in Southeast Asia.

Grab’s investment will allow the company to expand its logistics service offerings, building upon its on-demand parcel deliveries to develop services like intercity shipments and other courier options by integrating Ninja Van’s logistics services into its app. GrabPay and Grab’s slew of lending and insurance products will also be made available for Ninja Van’s merchants and delivery partners.

According to a press statement released by the companies, Ninja Van’s services will be assimilated into GrabExpress, Grab’s on-demand parcel and courier delivery service, by the second quarter of 2019, and then rolled out across the region in stages.

Grab has been folding in new partners from various verticals in its quest to develop a super app for Southeast Asia. Earlier this week, Grab announced the launch of four additional services through collaborations with Agoda,, Hooq, and BookMyShow.

Its main competitor Go-Jek is making similar moves. Yesterday, the Indonesian ride-hailing firm cemented a partnership with Singaporean telco Singtel to provide free data and discounted mobile plans for its drivers.
